Cu noir plate manufactured from central to northern France. Noir Noir means "black". The bottom is painted black. (Actually, the color is closer to dark brown.) The terracotta base is covered with a pale, creamy glaze, and the adorable hand-painted flower basket and pattern on the rim are very beautiful.
